Chief Justice of the United States John Roberts sat down with ABC News Legal Correspondent Jan Crawford Greenburg for his first network television interview on a stage before 3,600 spectators at the University of Miami on November 13, 2006. During their conversation, the "Chief," as he is known among his fellow Justices, told Greenburg the behind-the-scenes story of his nomination and offered a glimpse at the inner workings of the U.S. Supreme Court. Chief Roberts also shared his views on the role of the Chief Justice and the role of the Court in society.
