After completing the final installment of her best-selling "Sex Stories" trilogy in 2013, controversial French director/writer Ovidie is back with her stimulating new film, "Pulsion." She explores the idea of sexual addiction, following the story of one woman's attempt to cure herself of this condition. As always, Ovidie mixes a French arthouse sensibility with explicit sexual content, telling her story from a feminist perspective.
Please be warned that the film contains nudity and explicit sex, and is intended for an adult audience.

In this surreal retelling of the ancient myth of the Medusa, bizarre, clothed statues of men are appearing all over Greece. Only Perseus, the leader of a gang of modern Athenian thieves, holds the answer to the mystery. It has something to do with a beautiful, long-haired woman in black who is connected with his troubled childhood. One night his gang breaks into a deserted house in the countryside looking for goods to steal. What they find is entirely unexpected and leads Perseus on a dangerous journey into his past. Medousa is one of the very few attempts to make a modern Greek horror film. Its intriguing plot unfolds in a surprising and yet entirely logical way, creating a memorably atmospheric thriller that reworks familiar myths into an original and highly personal narrative. Mondo Macabro is very proud to be presenting for the first time on US video this overlooked gem of genre cinema. The film was screened at a number of international festivals and won a prize at World-Fest Houston in 1998. It's a film ripe for rediscovery and this long overdue release announces the re-emergence of a unique film making talent. Special Features: Interview with director George Lazopoulos Interview with lead actor Thanos Amorginos Trailer
Set against the backdrop of the Louvre Museum s history and artworks, master director Alexander Sokurov (Russian Ark) applies his uniquely personal vision onto staged re-enactments and archives for this fascinating portrait of real-life characters Jacques Jaujard and Count Franziskus Wolff-Metternich and their compulsory collaboration at the Louvre Museum under the Nazi Occupation. These two remarkable men - enemies then collaborators - share an alliance which would become the driving force behind the preservation of museum treasures. In its exploration of the Louvre Museum as a living example of civilization, FRANCOFONIA is a stunning and urgently relevant meditation on the essential relationship between art, culture, and history. Throughout his vast filmography documentary, fiction and others somewhere in between Alexander Sokurov has demonstrated that a museum is much more than a place to preserve art. Museums are the veritable DNA of a civilization, the living organ of the city where the heart of a nation beats. With FRANCOFONIA, he explores a historical chapter that we might know, but whose description does not take into account all the lines that run through it. Sokurov s body of work includes his Men of Power tetralogy (Faust, The Sun [Emperor Hirohito], Taurus [Vladimir Lenin] and Moloch [Adolph Hitler]), Russian Ark (set entirely in St Petersburg s Hermitage Museum), Mother and Son and Father and Son.
