PROFILES host Mickey Burns interviews Emmy award winning soap legend Melody Thomas Scott who recently celebrated 33 years in the role of Nikki Newman on the hit daytime drama, "The Young and The Restless." Soap fans have literally watched her grow up on a show that for many years was the most watched daytime drama in the world.

She made her motion picture debut at age 8 when she was cast by Alfred Hitchcock in the thriller "Marnie." By 13 Scott was playing roles opposite such stars as Clint Eastwood, John Wayne, and Kirk Douglas. Besides her acting career, Scott serves as a founding member for the Lucille Ball-Desi Arnaz Center in Jamestown, New York, which is committed to preserving the legacy of the greatest comedienne of all time. She also gives her time to "TV Cares," and AIDS education and awareness organization sponsored by the Academy of Television Arts and Sciences.
